- All of our therapy professionals qualify under licensing requirements of their profession and have graduated from accredited programs. All possess a minimum of one year of experience in provision of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Prior to assignment, our clinical team participates in an OTC orientation which includes information Abuse and Neglect and an Overview of Developmental Disabilities in addition to OTC specific procedures and policies.
- All requirements of the State, including finger printing are maintained on record and submitted according to contract provisions. Results of the State Bureau of Investigation Background Check, Notarized Affidavit, and confirmation of malpractice insurance and required credentials are maintained in each individual’s HIPPA compliant personnel file.
- OTC’s occupational, physical and speech-language therapy (OT, PT, and SLP) personnel adhere to qualifications as outlined in their job descriptions. All professionals demonstrate knowledge and skill in application of consultative approaches to their areas of expertise.
- Task analysis, sensory processing needs, competence to train activities of daily living and other areas of occupational performance are within the OT domain.
- Safety, movement, functional mobility and strength are within the PT domain.
- Oral motor, dysphagia, articulation, language, augmentative communication and sign language are within the SLPs domain.
